The B3111 is a twisting road full of difficult junctions, which winds its way through Oldfield Park in Bath, without really getting into the middle of what is now a large student area, instead keeping to the more genteel eastern fringe. Whether any traffic regularly uses it from end to end is uncertain: it certainly isn't a route that encourages such behaviour!
The junction with the A367 Wellsway is on a sharp bend, making it a bit of a life-in-one's-hands experience to make a right turn. Even left turns can be a bit nerve-wracking! After a short straight along Oldfield Road, the road turns sharp right at another T-junction into Junction Road. Junction Road itself has a near right-angle left hander, followed by a right-hander, before we reach the TOTSO T-junction with Lower Oldfield Park. Turn left, then right into Brougham Hayes, over the Railway and so to the A36 near Sainsbury's.
