A4199

The A4199 is a not-yet formally allocated number for the roads known locally as the Berryfields Link Road in Aylesbury - Prince Rupert Drive (part), Martin Dalby Way and Paradise Orchard (part). It is a link road joining the A41 on the Bicester side of Aylesbury to the A413 on the Buckingham side of Aylesbury, built originally when the Berryfields housing estate was built.

The Link Road is currently unclassified and unadopted, but due to an administrative error at Buckinghamshire Council the paperwork allocating the planned road number for it was erroneously sent to Geoplace who then sent it on to Ordnance Survey, who unwittingly included the number in their latest map data. Correspondence seen from Buckinghamshire Council says that the intention is to allocate this road the A4199 number in due course but only after the road has been formally adopted by the council, and DfT approval for the road classification has been obtained.
