The B6219 is an urban B-road on the edge of Bury town centre.
The road starts on the A56 Manchester Road and heads east along Wellington Road, entering a 20 zone immediately. The road is largely residential but to begin with it passes to the south of a recreation ground. A mini-roundabout - and the B6218 - is soon met, where the B6219 continues ahead, signposted Rochdale.
Eventually the recreation ground is left behind and another mini-roundabout is quickly met, where the B6219 turns left. The 20 zone is left, after which the road goes over the preserved East Lancashire Railway and continues along the residential streets to a set of traffic lights on the A58. The road carries on ahead and soon reaches another set of traffic lights where it crosses the B6221.
The northernmost section of the B6219 is little different from what has gone before. The road passes a former church which has fairly obviously been converted into flats. It ends soon afterwards at a mini-roundabout on the B6222 Bell Lane to the east of Bury town centre.
