The B6218 is a short link road on the southern edge of Bury town centre.
The road starts at a roundabout on the B6219 Wellington Road in the Fishpool area of town. It heads north along Market Street, crossing a recreation ground before going over the preserved East Lancashire Railway. The road ends soon afterwards at traffic lights on the A58 Angouleme Way ring road.
Prior to the construction of the ring road the B6218 continued ahead along the remainder of Market Street. However, much of this has been destroyed by the construction of the transport interchange, although its route is still recognisable. The road met the B6217 and B6220 before ending in the Market Place, which was a multiplex of the A56 and A58. Only the northern end of this section, still called Market Street, is still in existence, although it is still open to traffic.
