This article is about the former B7011 in Strathaven.
For the current B7011 through Law in Lanarkshire, see B7011.

The original B7011 was a short lived B-road in Strathaven, having been created after 1922, and then raised to Class I status in 1934 when the A726 was re-routed. The route therefore simply ran along Waterside Street in this small town, providing a short cut between the A71 and A723.
At present the only map found showing the B7011 is the 1927 revision of the MOT map (right). Unfortunately, as can be seen, the route is not particulalry well identified, partly due to its short length and partly due to discolouration on this nearly 100 year old map. However, it is listed in the renumbering report for 16/5/1934, clearly describing its route, and the fact that it was being upgraded to the A726, a number it still holds.
An official document from 16/05/1934 details the following changes: Waterside Street, Strathaven to be elevated to Class I and renumbered as A726.
