The B7082 is a link road heading east from Kilmarnock town centre. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number following completion of the A77 bypass.
The road starts at the northeast corner of the A735 Kilmarnock one-way system and heads north over the Kilmarnock Water before bearing round to the right to head east along Strawberrybank Road. At the top of the hill we become lined with houses on the left and a park on the right, then we descend again to reach a roundabout.
We turn left and continue northeast along Grassyards Road. Initially we pass between a school and a cemetery, after which the road becomes residential; there are service roads on both sides to provide access to the houses. As we approach the edge of town the houses disappear, then we reach journey's end at a diamond GSJ on the A77 bypass. The unclassified road continues ahead to reach the A719.
