Cycle Superhighway 6 is a major cycle route heading across Central London from North to South. A section from St Pancras to Holborn is still under construction.
The number was originally allocated to a route heading north to Elephant & Castle from Penge. While this has been cancelled, the existing route is a direct continuation of it.
Route
Currently beginning at Stonecutter Street in Holborn, it heads south along the A201 Farringdon Street, which becomes New Bridge Street at Ludgate Circus. At Blackfriars it meets the CS3 East-West Cycle Superhighway before crossing over Blackfriars Bridge. On the South Bank, NCN4 briefly uses the superhighway, which heads down Blackfriars Road. At St Georges Circus, we turn onto Lambeth Road which allows westbound buses, cycles both ways and nothing else before taking St Georges Road to the Elephant & Castle.
