This article is about the former A3035 from Axbridge to Cross, Somerset.

When numbers were first allocated in 1922, spurs were avoided at all costs. Therefore, Cross Lane from Axbridge down the hill to Cross itself was given the number A3035. Back then, of course, it started at the current fork to the west of the roundabout, as the Axbridge Bypass was still a railway line!
In the renumberings of 1935, it was decided that short roads like this didn't need their own number, so it was renumbered as a spur of the A371, which it remains.
