The A388 (former A3048) Western Road
The A3048 was a link road running along St Thomas Road, on the west side of Launceston Castle, connecting the A388 to what was the A30 Western Road.
After the A30 southern bypass was built in the 1940s, the A3048 was extended along the ex-A30 to meet the bypass.
Today, the route through the town has long since been downgraded and the road is part of a spur from the A388 to the westbound A30.
