The A307 (former A3063) Portsmouth Road
The original use of the A3063 number occurred around 1925/6, when the decision was made to use the A3 number for the Kingston Bypass instead of the A239. A number for the old road was required, but A239 could not be used as it would now be out of zone, so the next number available in the 3 zone was used instead.
A few years later, very possibly when the bypass fully opened in April 1927, but certainly by 1932, the old road was numbered as extensions of the A308 (to the north of town) and A307 (to the south) and the A3063 number was allocated to an upgrade of the B3021 in Windsor instead.
