This article is about the former A3071 in Axminster, Devon.

The original A3071, allocated in the mid-1920s, was Stony Lane in Axminster, Devon.
Starting on the A373 Lyme Road, the road ran to the east of the town centre along the short Stony Lane, ending after about a quarter of a mile on the A374 Chard Road.
The route was still an A-road, although un-labelled on maps, into the 1960s; however, the A3071 number was reused in Cornwall in 1935 so it would have become a spur of either the A373 or A358 (the renumbered A374). In more recent years the road has been downgraded to be part of the B3261. It is, however, still the signed route between Lyme Regis and Chard.
