Route outline (key)
A3064 Link in Plymouth
This article is about the current A3064 in Plymouth.
For an earlier road in Maidenhead also numbered A3064, see A3064 (Maidenhead)
.

The A3064 is an L-shaped road to the west of the city of Plymouth.

Route

Weston Mill Drive

The road starts at the Milehouse junction with the A386 and B3396 and heads northwestwards. The first section of the road is dual carriageway, although the majority of the route is effectively D1, with the other lane used for parking or is a bus lane. The road begins with a decent down to a roundabout before rising up to a signalised junction and finally heading down hill to join its valley route. Due to the low-lying nature of some of this road it is prone to flooding during heavy rainfall.

The A3064 meets the other end of the B3396, which has done a circuitous route following the walls of the Naval Base, before it TOTSOs right at traffic lights to run along along the newer St Budeaux Bypass (1988), built by Balfour Beatty. The Bypass is S2 along the valley despite being of higher quality than the first section of A3064. Apart from a signalised crossroads just after the TOTSO the only other junctions on this section are with two dead-end unclassified roads close to the far end. After passing these, the road ends at its junction with the A38.

History

The road linking the A38 Plymouth Parkway (Weston Mill Interchange) to Devonport was opened on 19 August 1988 by Arnold Sayers, County Council Chairman. Contractor was Balfour Beatty, cost £7 million.
