This article is about the original B4113 east of Bedworth.
For the current B4113, the former A444 either side of Coventry, see B4113.
For the current B4113, the former A444 either side of Coventry, see B4113.
The B4113 was the original number of the road east of Bedworth.
It started in the centre of town on the now-pedestrianised original route of the A444 and headed east, crossing the Coventry Canal and West Coast Main Line en route. It ended on the B4109 Coventry Road in Bulkington.
This road is now numbered B4029 and the B4113 number is in use nearby. Curiously, the DfT Card Index from c2002 lists the B4113 as 'Bulkington - Bedworth - Coventry - Leamington.', implying that the original and current routes co-existed for a time, before the B4029 number was assigned to the original route. At present no mapping evidence has been found to support his, however, so it may have simply been an ill-informed update of the records.
