For the B4122 near Chippenham in Wiltshire, see B4122 (Wiltshire).
The B4122 is a very short route between the A4040 and A435 in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Historically it used to run from the A441 at Breedon Cross to Kings Heath but the western section is now part of the A4040.
The B4122 starts as the A4040 takes an unsigned TOTSO away from Vicarage Road right onto Howard Road which effectively forms a southern by-pass of Kings Heath. However, the B4122 continues along Vicarage Road, passing King Edward's Camp Hill Schools and Kings Heath Park before reaching a busy crossroads with the unclassified Avenue Road. The B4122 continues before terminating at a traffic light-controlled junction with the A435, although all traffic bar buses, taxis and cycles must head left towards Birmingham City Centre.
Although the B4122 is a busy and important little road it is unsigned from the A4040, and signed only as (A4040) from the A435. As a short and straight road, it is almost possible to see one end from the other - however the kink at the A435 end making the junction a right angle rather than a skew angle prevents this.
