The A6063 is a link between the A59 Ringway in Preston city centre and the A5085 Blackpool Road outside the Deepdale football ground.
Originally the southernmost stub of A6063 in between the A59 and B6243 junctions was considered to be part of Church Street, however in recent years it is now considered part of Ribbleton Lane
We start at a major junction on Ringway and immediately turn left at a set of traffic lights, leaving the B6243 to continue ahead. We then have a straight run along Deepdale Road towards Blackpool Road, crossing over the old Longridge Railway alignment. We pass the old Preston Tram Depot on the left (now used for buses) and the Preston North End Football Stadium on the right (at which point Deepdale Road becomes Sir Tom Finney Way) before reaching our journey's end at a light-controlled crossroads junction with the A5085 and B6241.
The current A6063 was originally classified as the B6241.
