This article is about the original B6041 between Chesterfield and Cuckney, which is now part of the A632.
For the current B6041 near Worksop, see B6041.

The B6041 was the direct route between Chesterfield and Cuckney, in the Dukeries.
The road was presumably upgraded to Class I status in 1935, becoming the A632, although the 1939 and 1944 Ten-Mile Maps both confusingly show the B6041 and A632 running parallel; this must be a mapping error.
Although the original 1922 route of the B6041 is essentially the same as the current A632, the 1932-1936 Ten-Mile maps suggest that the road was rerouted via Shuttlewood (north of Bolsover) to meet the B6418. If this did in fact happen the change was reverted with the coming of the A632.
