The original B5125 was a short link road in Northop. It started on the A5119 (former B5124) to the south of the village and headed north along a straight route to meet the A55 at the western end of the High Street, having met no other roads en route.
With the completion of the A55 North Wales Expressway, the A55 through Northop was declassified, taking the B5125 with it.
