The B5183 was a short link road on the northern edge of Liverpool city centre.
It started on the B5182 Pall Mall and headed west along Chadwick Street, under the railway lines heading north from Liverpool Exchange station (which took up more space than the current lines north of Moorfields; some of the railway arches have been removed). The road ended at the next road junction on the A565 Great Howard Street.
Owing to the road's short distance and subterranean nature it is difficult to spot on maps and therefore it is not known how the road lasted, or whether its number changed before the road was declassified. The road was certainly declassified some time before the B5182 it linked to, although exactly how far before is not known.
