The B6156 is a short link road on the western edge of Leeds.
It starts on the A657 on the eastern edge of the village of Calverley. It heads southeast and soon enters open country. The road then reaches the A6120. On paper it crosses this road at a staggered crossroads; however, B6156 traffic is forced to turn left in both directions thus taking traffic back to its starting point.
A short distance to the southeast of the A6120, the B6156 crosses into the urban area. It heads south along the residential Calverley Lane through the centre of Farsley. It ends at a T-junction on the B6157 (pre-bypass A647) on the northern edge of Pudsey.
