The B6162 is a short B-road in central Yorkshire, leading from the village of Beckwithshaw eastnortheastwards to Harrogate.
Starting from a mini-roundabout on the B6161 on the northern edge of Beckwithshaw, the route heads along Otley Road. After passing Harlow Carr Gardens the road enters a 30 mph zone and remains built-up for the remainder of its length. Continuing east through the leafy suburbs of Harrogate, the road eventually enters a grassed area, the beginning of a large public open space called The Stray. Here it ends at a roundabout junction with the A61. The town centre is along the one-way loop to the left.
