Gracious Street, the B6163, in Knaresborough
The B6163 heads south from the Yorkshire town of Knaresborough.
The road starts at traffic lights at the southern end of the A59 High Street and heads south along Gracious Street before descending to cross the River Nidd. After passing a footpath leading to Mother Shipton's Cave (the vehicle entrance is from the A59) the road climbs Bland's Hill and finally enters open country. It ends shortly afterwards at a T-junction on the A658 Knaresborough bypass.
Prior to the construction of the A658 in the 1990s the B6163 continued ahead to end on the A661 near Wingate Farm. This road was then closed to traffic and is now a public footpath and farm access, although still obviously a road.
