Dyche Lane

The B6158 is a short road north of the Derbyshire town of Dronfield. The road came to the area in the 1980s as part of an upgrade to the B6057.

Originally the B6158 started on the A6102 to the south of Norton and followed Jordanthorpe Parkway; this is now part of the B6057 and our road starts at the next roundabout. It heads south along the rural Dyche Lane into the Dronfield suburb of Coal Aston. At a mini-roundabout the B6056 comes in from the left and the B6158 is now the dominant partner in a multiplex to the right up a hill past the pub.

The B6056 soon turns off to the right and the B6158 continues southwest along Green Lane. It soon goes over the top of the hill then descends steeply for most of the rest of its route, becoming traffic-calmed as it approaches the bottom. After passing a school the road TOTSOs right at a T-junction then ends immediately afterwards at a mini-roundabout back on the B6057.
