The B6111 is a short link road to the west of Huddersfield town centre.
The road starts on the A62 in Milnsbridge. The angle of the junction is quite sharp and there is no access between the B6111 and the A62 to/from the west.
The B6111 heads northwest along Whiteley Street and soon crosses the Huddersfield Narrow Canal before reaching a one-way loop. Traffic in this direction bears left before taking the next right (turn left instead to access the westbound A62) to rejoin the other direction. Eastbound traffic simply takes the third side of the triangle (the original line of the B6111).
The two directions rejoin immediately before a bridge over the River Colne. Just afterwards the B6111 TOTSOs left at traffic lights. The road continues west, climbing to cross the Manchester to Huddersfield railway line and pass to the north of Scar Wood. The road ends before reaching the top of the hill, at the junction with James Street and Knowl Road. No other roads here are classified.
