The B6196 was a short B-road in south Lancashire.
The road started on the A627 in Balderstone, to the south of Rochdale, and initially headed northeastwards before bearing sharply right. The majority of the route ran more-or-less southeastwards to Shaw, where the road ended in the centre of town on the A663, which at that time went along Market Street.
In 1935 the entire of the B6196 was renumbered as a northern extension of the B6194. Later on, the A663 was rerouted, so the original eastern end of the B6196 is now unclassified.
