This article is about the original route in northern Yorkshire, renumbered B1263 in 1924.
For the current route in southern Yorkshire, see B6273.
For the current route in southern Yorkshire, see B6273.
The B6273 was a link road in north Yorkshire.
The road started on the original line of the B6271 on Scorton village green and then headed vaguely northeastwards. It passed through no places of any size but did just bypass North Cowton, before ending on the A1 (now A167) at Plantation House.
In 1924 the A1 was rerouted via Scotch Corner instead of Northallerton, with its old route becoming an extension of the A167. The B6273 was now wholly out-of-zone (the only such road to become so) and therefore was renumbered B1263 to give it an in-zone number.
