The B6297 is a short link road to the west of the County Durham town of Tow Law.
The road starts on the B6296 at the top of the steep Redgate Bank, to the northeast of Wolsingham, and then heads eastwards across the fields before crossing the valley of the Houselop Beck. On the far side, the road continues to climb until reaching Tow Law itself. Just before entering the town the road has been straightened and the old line of the road is still visible to the right as a lay-by.
The B6297 runs along Wolsingham Road to end at a T-junction on the A68 by the town's war memorial; the road splits to run either side of this.
