The B6233 is another small, and arguably undeserving of a number, route in suburban Blackburn.
The excitement quota on this road is completely used up on the Shear Brow section, as it climbs up a 1 in 6 hill whilst avoiding speed humps and pedestrian refuges. If you manage that, there's a speed camera at the top of the hill.
Once past St Mary's College, the road turns right at the Four Lane Ends signals and starts to drop down a long hill through Pleckgate before it meets the A6119 at the Knowles Arms signals (before the construction of the A6119 the B6233 continued ahead to meet the A666).
This route appears to be completely unsigned on the ground, and both the OS and Google currently assign the B6232 number to the route. However, online searches show that Blackburn Council still considered it to be the B6233 as recently as 2018, so it seems unlikely that it has been legally changed.
