The B6299 is a short B-road in central Durham, acting as a northern bypass to the town of Crook.
The road starts on the A68 to the east of Tow Law and heads east along the top of a ridge through Sunniside before running along the top edge of an escarpment. The views to the south are magnificent. It's not long before the road enters Stanley Crook, where it meets the B6298.
The road now moves away from the ridge and continues southeastwards to pass a stud farm and reach the edge of the town of Willington. It then bends sharply right to run along the Roman Dere Street for a short distance before ending at a T-junction on the A690.
