The C15 starts on the A70 at Glespin, and almost immediately dips to cross the Douglas Water. Continuing south east, it follows the Glespin Burn upstream for a while, before crossing it and starting a steady ascent across the contours to cross the shallow pass behind Mosscastle Hill. The road then drops steeply down with the Mountherrick Burn to pass through Mountherrick itself and reach the B740 at Eastertown.
