The C26 connects the A73 and A70 via the small village of Carmichael. It starts on the A73 near Warrenhill and heads west, climbing the ridge of Cross Ridge hill, before turning sharply to plunge back down into Carmichael. The route turns left at the crossroads and follows a couple of straights either side of Drumalbin to reach the A70 at Hecklebirnie.
