The C10 starts on the A72 at the west end of Clydesholm Bridge at Kirkfieldbank. It then climbs up the hill as it heads south along Kirkfield Road, staying high above the Clyde before eventually dropping down to cross the Douglas Water at Douglasmouth Bridge. As it winds up the other side of the valley, it passes through Sandilands, and then follows a short straight to meet the A70.
