For the former A33 on the Isle of Man, between Port St Mary and Port Erin, see A33 (Port St Mary - Port Erin).
The A33 forms a short link in Douglas, crossing the River Douglas, and linking the South Quay area to the town centre. It meets five other A roads in just over 200 yards.
The route begins at a crossroads between the A1 and A43 outside the railway station, and heads south along Bank Hill, which is one way (southbound) with two lanes and parking on the right. Just 80 yards from the A1, there is a crossroads with the A8 and B79, with priority being given to traffic from the B road turning south onto the A33. The A33 carries on south along the two-way Bridge Road, past the harbour and over Douglas Bridge. It ends after another 130 yards, at a roundabout where the A6 and A41 also end.
