The B73 is a very short route passing along Walpole Avenue near the Sea Terminal in Douglas. It is one way southbound, starting on the A11, Loch Promenade and only accessible to left turning traffic, coming from the Sea Terminal. It runs initially between tall buildings, but the site on the right behind the Promenade is a car park, while opposite is the spectacular Art Deco Royalty House, almost unbelievably built in 1998. The route ends at the end of the building at a T junction on the A8, Bath Place, where traffic has to turn left to return to the Sea Terminal. This really does make the route rather useless and beg the question of why it is a B road at all!
