The B61 is short route following the curving Alexander Drive to the north of Douglas town centre. It starts on the A42, Woodbourne Road and heads west into Victorian suburbia, with long, curving terraces of often brightly painted houses intersperses with a couple of small parks. As it curves round to head north west, the terraces are replaced by larger detached and semi detached houses, set back in mature tree lined gardens. The B71, Albany Road then turns off to the right at a crossroads, after which the B61 curves back to the west and ends soon after at a west facing fork on the A2, Quarterbridge Road, with no right turning allowed.
