The B77 follows Barrack Street in the centre of Douglas's harbour area. It appears that it formerly included John Street (It may still do so, the Manx GIS map doesn't give any designation to John Street), but there are now bollards between the two preventing through access. Barrack Street is therefore a continuation, in traffic terms, of Church Street, which is the B62, traffic turning hard right at the back of the town hall and then running down what is little more than a back lane between a car park and the backs of buildings on Lord Street, the A1. It comes to an end at a simple T junction on the A1 next to the Army Reserve Centre, hence the name Barrack Street.
