The B76 is one of the short B roads to the north of Douglas town centre. It starts at a triangle junction on the A22, Ballaquayle Road, and heads north west along York Road, which is lined with the brightly painted terraces found throughout the town. The second and third crossroads are signalised, the second crosses the A42, Woodbourne Road and the third the B71, Somerset Road. The route then curves west onto Stoney Road and drops down hill past a school and some detached houses to meet the A2, Quarter Bridge Road at another signalised crossroads opposite the A47.
