The A6021 is an important road leading into Rotherham from the east.
It starts at a roundabout on the A631 in the eastern suburb of Brecks and heads west along Wickersley Road – crossing the A6123 at a roundabout – and then Broom Road. After another roundabout junction, from which the A6178 leads left, the A6021 continues north-westward passing Clifton Park on the right-hand side before ending at a signalised T-junction with the A630. This junction replaces an earlier grade-separated junction at this point which was demolished in 2013.
