At around 300 feet long, the A6031 is one of the shortest A roads in the 1922 Road Lists.
It was a link between the A650 Bradford Road and the A61 Leeds Road on the northern edge of Wakefield. The rerouting of the A650 means that the ex-A6031 now carries that number, although it is likely that the A6031 number disappeared early on.
