The A6059 connected the A666 and A676 to the north of Bolton.
It started on the A676 in Bradshaw and headed roughly north into Bromley Cross where it went under the railway line. Now heading northwestwards, it went through Toppings before ending on the A666 in Egerton.
The road was downgraded to become the B6472 in the 1960s.
