For the current A6086 in Corby, see A6086.
In the original 1922 road numbering, A6086 was allocated to Link in Newcastle upon Tyne that ran along Grainger Street West and Grainger Street in the city centre.
Starting by Grey's Monument, where it met the A696 Blackett Street and A184 Grey Street. It headed southwest along Grainger Street to cross the A1 Newgate Street followed by the A69 Westgate Road before ending on the A695 Neville Street opposite central station.
Owing to the road's short length it is not known how long it lasted. Later maps seem to show that the road had been downgraded west of Newgate Street; this kept the road in the 6 zone as the A1 was moved east when the Tyne Bridge was built. Certainly, the road is now part of the city centre pedestrian area and so unclassified.
