The A6038 (former A6039) towards Menston
The A6039 was a short, relatively built-up A-road in Yorkshire.
In 1922, it started on the A65 in Menston and headed roughly east to end on the A659 in the centre of Otley. The only change that occurred to the A6039 was that by the 1960s, the road west out of Otley had been renumbered the A660 and it was on this road that it ended.
However, the building of the A660 Otley bypass brought about more changes to Otley and abolished the A6039. The section west of the bypass is now an eastern extension of the A6038; the section east, the A659.
