In the original 1922 Road Lists, the A150 ran north from Wisbech to Long Sutton.
On 1st April, 1935, it was renumbered as a northern extension of the A1101. This formed a continuous route from the A17 to the A45 in Suffolk, which reflected popular traffic movements at the time.
Following the construction of a new bridge over the Nene in Wisbech the southern end of the ex-A150 is now unclassified. The northern end, within the Long Sutton bypass, is now part of the B1359.
