The A92 (former A931) East Dock Street

The 1957 1:25,000 map shows the route going beyond the docks to meet the A930

The A931 was East Dock Street in Dundee, linking the A930 Broughty Ferry Road with the A92 at the northern terminus of the Tay ferry. At classification in 1922, the relevant MoT Map suggests that the road started by heading south along Trades Lane, then turned east along East Dock Street and that it's eastern end was in the docks somewhere near the junction with Peep o'Day Lane. The road was later extended to meet the A930 Broughty Ferry Road. With changes to the road network, by the late 1940s the A931 had lost Trades Lane, which is shown as part of the A930 on the 1947 OS Six Inch Map. However, it late reclaimed it and was extended west along Dock Street to meet the A92 near the ferry pier.

All is changed now since the Tay Bridge opened, and East Dock Street is now the A92, with the A931 number consigned to the past.
