The B945 is a short link road in northeast Fife.
The route starts at a staggered crossroads in St Michaels where it meets the A914 (former A92) and A919. It then heads north through St Michael's Wood and out across fields before curving around a golf course. It continues across more-or-less flat land, with hills climbing to the west, through woods and fields before reaching Tayport. A park sits at the entrance to the town, and the B945 runs along Queen Street before bending left onto William Street at a mini roundabout. Tayport doesn't seem to have a nucleated town centre, with shops and businesses scattered around a number of streets. William Street is one of these, where the eclectic mixture of buildings include a number of business premises, although Castle Street to the north east has more shops.
The B945 then ends by running end-on into the B946. However, the actual point where the two routes meet appears to be fairly arbitrary, with different maps giving different places. The large scale OS maps from the 1940s through to the 1960s all seem to agree that the first stretch of Albert Street is the B945, with the number changing at the kink at Fairy Lane from where the B946 heads off due west. Google Maps have moved the meeting point west to the Braid Road junction, while Open Street Map have taken it south to the mini roundabout at the far end of William Street. The Fife council list say that all of Albert Street is part of the B946, although this is contrary to the base mapping used to display this information. None of the other maps available give enough detail to identify the meeting point.
