For the original B1320 in Northumberland, see B1320 (Northumberland).
The B1320 is the road through the Durham New Town of Peterlee. The road seems to have come into existence with the growth of the New Town in the 1960s.
The road starts at a roundabout GSJ on the A19 and heads east along Burnhope Way; as usual for a New Town this runs between housing estates, which are accessed via side roads. We go across the occasional roundabout to run into the town centre, crossing a set of traffic lights and passing close to buildings.
The road skirts the main shopping centre then turns left at a roundabout onto Yoden Way. This isn't quite your typical New Town distributor as buildings do give the impression of fronting onto the road, although there is an expanse of grass in between. The sea soon becomes visible, after which the road bears round to the left to become built-up once more as it enters Horden. The road ends shortly afterwards at traffic lights on the A1086.
