The B5091 is a short link road to the north of Macclesfield.
The road starts at the A538 TOTSO at Bradley Mount and heads north, soon reaching a roundabout on the A523. In fact, this section of road was the original line of the A523 before the construction of the Macclesfield eastern bypass. Here (or rather slightly to the north) was the original western end of the B5091, where it started on the A523.
The B5091 continues east along Flash Lane. It passes the grounds of Mount Hall, now a nursing home, before reaching Bollington Cross. The road ends here at a T-junction on the B5090.
