This article is about the modern route in Telford that meets the M54 at junction 5.

The B5072 is a fairly dull New Town road in Telford, running southwards from M54 at junction 5, bypassing the town centre to the west before turning westwards and terminating on the A5223 at Lawley.
It has two items of minor interest: the first being that it is incorrectly numbered, being entirely south of the A5 and so within zone 4 of the numbering system. The second minor point of interest is that the western terminus was realigned in 2009, and a section, including zebra crossings, was abandoned; a shopping complex has now destroyed the old alignment.
