This article is about the former road with this number in Swadlincote.
For the modern B5358 in north Cheshire, see B5358.
For the modern B5358 in north Cheshire, see B5358.
The B5358 was apparently a short link road west of Swadlincote, connecting the B586 to the north of the town centre with the A511 (present A444).
This stretch of road was originally unclassified but according to the 1932 Ten-Mile Map shortly became the B5358. However, the same map also shows another B5358, the present route near Wilmslow. It is possible therefore that this is a mapping error, or this duplicate pair really did coexist for some time. Eventually though, the Swadlincote B5358 was definitely renumbered as the B5353, which would have got rid of the duplication.
