The B5362 was a short link road to the west of Finchley in north London. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in the late 1920s. However, when the A1 (which originally followed the present A1000) was moved to the west in the 1950s our road was moved out of zone, so it was given its present number of the B1462 to keep it in zone.
The road started on the B552 at what is now Holders Hill Circus and headed east along Dollis Road. It zigzagged under the Dollis Brook Viaduct, which now carries the Northern Line to Mill Hill East, before running into Finchley Church End. It ended on the A500 (present A598) Regent's Park Road opposite Finchley Central station.
