The B5383 is a short B-road in northwest Denbighshire. It was originally unclassified but gained its number in 1935.
The road starts at a mini-roundabout on the A547 on the western side of Old Colwyn. From here an unclassified road heads north to A55 J22 but the B5383 heads south. We follow the residential Llanelian Road out of town, climbing gradually. It is some time before we reach open country.
The road narrows but continues to climb. Presently the road levels out and, after a crossroads, starts to descend again. The gradient becomes steeper as the road continues. After reaching the valley bottom we run into the hamlet of Dolwen and end at a T-junction on the B5381.
